Jeffrey Brown

Jeffrey R. Brown is the Dean of the College of Business and Josef and Margot Lakonishok Professor of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining the Illinois faculty, Dr. Brown was an assistant professor of public policy at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. During 2001-2002, he served as Senior Economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers, where he focused primarily on Social Security, pension reform, and terrorism risk insurance.

Lawrence Brown

Lawrence D. Brown is professor of health policy and management in the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. A political scientist, he received a Ph.D. in Government at Harvard University in 1973. After positions at Harvard, the Brookings Institution, and the University of Michigan, in 1988 he came to Columbia, where he chaired the Department of Health Policy and Management for ten years and the university's Public Policy Consortium for three years.

Andrea Louise Campbell

Andrea Louise Campbell is the head of the Political Science Department  and a Arthur and Ruth Sloan Professor of Political Science at MIT. She is the author of How Policies Make Citizens: Senior Political Activism and the American Welfare State (Princeton University Press, 2003), and articles in the American Political Science Review, Political Behavior, Studies in American Political Development, and Comparative Political Studies. She studies American politics, political behavior, public opinion, political inequality, and social policy.

Amy Finkelstein

Amy N. Finkelstein is the Ford Professor of Economics and the co-scientific director of J-PAL North America at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as the co-director of the Public Economics Program at the NBER. Her research is directed toward market failures and government intervention in insurance markets, and the impact of public policy on the health care sector, particularly on the development and diffusion of medical technology. She received her A.B. in government from Harvard University and her Ph.D.

Sherry Glied

Sherry Glied is Dean of the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at Columbia University. From 2010 until August 2012, Dr. Glied served as Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She holds a B.A. in economics from Yale University, an M.A. in economics from the University of Toronto, and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University. Her research on health policy has focused on the financing of health care services in the U.S.

Colleen Grogan

Colleen M. Grogan is a professor in the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. She is also the academic director of the Graduate Program in Health Administration and Policy and the co-director of the Center for Health Administration Studies. Her areas of research interest include health policy, health politics, participatory processes and the American welfare state. She has written several book chapters and articles on the political evolution and current politics of the US Medicaid program.

Mark Hall

Mark A. Hall is the director of the Health Law and Policy Program and the Fred D. and Elizabeth L. Turnage Professor of Law at Wake Forest University, where he has appointments in the Schools of Law, Medicine, and Management. Professor Hall specializes in health care law and public policy, with a focus on economic, regulatory and organizational issues. He received his law degree with highest honors from the University of Chicago, after which he completed an RWJF fellowship program at Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.

Yaniv Hanoch

Yaniv Hanoch received his Ph.D. from the University of Haifa and is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Plymouth, School of Psychology, Plymouth, UK. His research interests are in theory of emotions and bounded rationality, older adults' decision making, and risk taking. He has previously published in the Journal of Economic Psychology, the Journal of Health Communication, Psychological Science, and Theory & Psychology.

Harold Luft

Harold S. Luft, PhD, is the director of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Research Institute. Previously, he was the chair of the Health Policy Department, the Caldwell B. Esselstyn Professor of Health Policy and Health Economics and director of the Institute for Health Policy Studies at the University of California, San Francisco. His research and teaching have covered a wide range of areas, including medical care utilization, health maintenance organizations, hospital market competition, quality and outcomes of hospital care, risk assessment and risk adjustment, and health care reform.
