Celeste Watkins-Hayes

Celeste Watkins-Hayes is an associate professor of African American studies and sociology at Northwestern University and currently serves as chair of the Department of African American Studies. In addition to her faculty appointment, Watkins-Hayes is a faculty fellow at Northwestern's Institute for Policy Research and Cells to Society (C2S): The Center on Social Disparities and Health. From 2004-2009, she was a visiting summer fellow at the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies at UC, San Francisco.

Margaret Weir

Margaret M. Weir is a professor of sociology and political science and the Avice Saint Chair in Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley and a nonresident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. Weir has written widely on social policy and politics in the United States. She is the author of several books including, Schooling for All: Race, Class and the Decline of the Democratic Ideal (coauthored with Ira Katznelson, 1985); and Politics and Jobs: The Boundaries of Employment Policy in the United States (1992).

Carol Weisman

Carol Weisman is the associate dean of faculty affairs at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She is also the director of the Central Pennsylvania Center of Excellence for Research on Pregnancy Outcomes. She holds a joint appointment in the department of health policy and administration in the College of Health and Human Development.

David Williams

David R. Williams is the Florence Sprague Norman and Laura Smart Norman Professor of Public Health in the Department of Society, Human Development, and Health,and professor of African and African American Studies at Harvard University. Previously, he was the Harold W. Cruse Collegiate Professor of Sociology, senior research scientist at the Institute for Social Research, professor of epidemiology, and faculty associate in the Program for Research on Black Americans and the Center for Afro-American and African Studies at the University of Michigan.
